| The wheeler dealer is based on an actual photograph taken around 1945. As an artist, I prefer to work from my own photographs, however, every once in a while a perfect scene comes along and presents itself as the ideal print possibility. This street scene reminds me of the years I sold cars in Medicine Hat, Alberta. I worked with an old pro by the name of Harry and the salesman in this image reminds me of Harry. He was very stereotypical of an era, right down to the white buck shoes and the suspenders. With the gift of the gab thrown in, you have the wheeler dealer. |
