This image is the sequel to "Field of Retired Dreams" which I painted in 1998.
You see two elderly gentlemen, ghosted against a backdrop of spent farm
vehicles, all GM, and discussing old times when they were alive with the cars.
The vehicles seem to be eavesdropping in on the conversation.
You remember the old question; if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around
to hear it, does it make a sound. In this case, if two ghosts have a conversation
amongst abandoned farm vehicles and no one is there to see them, what makes
you believe they weren't there?
This painting is 28" X 48" and took over 220 hours to complete, as well as
countless hours of research and photo ops.
